Many women choose to have their breasts enlarged in order to satisfy their own desire for a fuller bust line. Your breasts may not have developed to a size that meets your expectations or one breast may be significantly smaller than the other. Often, after weight loss, child birth, or as a result of aging the breasts lose volume and their shape changes. Breast augmentation can often enhance your breast size and shape and give you the more proportioned figure you always wanted.

Is it safe?

Dr. Anderson has over 25 years of combined experience with breast augmentation procedures. The type of implants currently used are saline filled implants that consist of a silicone shell filled with sterile salt water. Silicone implants are expected to be an option in the near future.

Individual factors and personal preference will help you and your plastic surgeon determine your appropriate breast size, the location of incisions and whether the implants will be placed on top of or under the chest muscle.

Every year, many thousands of women undergo successful breast augmentation surgery, experiencing no major problems and are pleased with the results. Anyone considering surgery should be aware of both the benefits and the risks. These risks and potential complications will be discussed on a personal basis with your doctor and a staff member.
