ENDOSCOPIC BROW AND TEMPLE LIFT
Dr. Anderson provides the Endoscopic Brow and Forehead procedure to achieve a more effective result than the traditional forehead lift. The new procedures also eliminate the need for the large incision which was used in the past.
Our Endoscopic temple, brow and forehead lift procedure is an outpatient surgical procedure which is done in our accredited office surgical suite. The forehead lift and brow lift procedures correct the sagging and low position of the eyebrows that can cause a perpetual tired and sad look. The procedure softens horizontal creases across the forehead and erases the worried and angry expression that can result from frown lines.
The outcome is a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. This can have a very positive effect on the way you feel about yourself.
Q. Am I a good candidate for a forehead lift? Dr. Anderson feels that any of the following conditions may indicate that you are a good candidate for a forehead lift:
- Sagging or low position of the eyebrows creating a tired or sad appearance.
- Deep horizontal creases across the forehead.
- Frown lines or furrows between the eyebrows and sometimes across the top of the nose.
A forehead lift can improve all of these problems. It may often be performed at the same time as a face lift or midface procedure which removes excess skin and lifts and tightens muscles in the mid and lower face regions. If there is significant skin overhang in the upper eyelids or puffy bags beneath the eyes, eyelid surgery may be recommended in addition to the forehead lift.
Q. How is a forehead lift performed? In most cases we favor the endoscopic forehead procedure. A thin, long tube with a light on the end is attached to a video camera. The endoscope is inserted through several tiny incisions in the scalp and allows our doctor to work on the various structures of the forehead. The endoscopic technique has the advantages of very minimal incisions which can be easily hidden in the hair.

Q. How long will the results last? Even though the aging process continues, patients are usually happy with their appearance for many years following a forehead lift. The results of any of our cosmetic procedures will depend on many variables, including your heredity and lifestyle factors. Some patients do find that they want to make additional improvements at a later time.
