THIGH LIFT

Having a beautiful, healthy, and active body is something many people desire. Whether your ultimate goal is to look great in clothes, fit into a smaller size, or look better naked, there are a lot of options to consider.

Thigh Lift is a procedure where excess skin is excised and lifted most commonly at the inner thigh to avoid a prominent visible scar. This procedure is often done for patients who have lost large amounts of weight and those who have lost elasticity in the skin on the thighs.

Often liposuction is combined with the thigh lift procedure to reduce both the amount of fat and reduce the loose and sagging skin, primarily at the upper and inner thigh region. Other types of the thigh lift procedures are available dependent upon the needs of the patient. A personal consultation is important to determine what procedure would be best for your particular problem.

Thigh lift surgery is generally done as an outpatient procedure and hospitalization is rarely necessary. Most of our thigh lift and body contouring procedures are done in the fully accredited operating suite at Anderson Plastic Surgery Center.

Of course, Dr. Anderson also has hospital privileges and hospital outpatient surgery is available for these procedures.

Recovery after the thigh lift procedure will generally take several weeks. You'll probably have several layers and stitches at the inner and upper thigh at the groin region and extending posteriorly in the buttocks crease. Some of the deeper sutures will be permanent. The skin sutures will be removed at approximately 12 days after surgery. Vigorous exercise and contact sporting activities are discouraged for approximately six weeks.

Postoperative pain after thigh lift should beminimal thanks to our postoperative ON-Q Pain Management system, which is discussed on this web site also.
